Festival Arre México 2024 — Mexico City

Festival Arre México ran September 7–8, 2024 at a main stage venue in Mexico City. LiGHT SKY served as the official lighting partner for the event, supplying fixtures across three product lines for the main stage rig.

Rig Breakdown

22 Whale Beam units anchored the main stage, handling long-throw beam work throughout the show. 12 Shark Profile fixtures covered spot, wash, beam, and profile functions from a single unit, reducing the need for dedicated fixture types across the rig. 60 PAR LED PL1215 ZOOM units provided color wash fill across the stage and audience-facing positions.

Fixture Notes

The Whale Beam is an IP66-rated moving beam running USHIO NSLU5 lamps with a 4,000-hour lifespan. Output is rated at 910,000 lux at 10 meters through a 200mm lens, with 8- and 24-facet prism options for beam effects.

The Shark Profile is a 1200W LED BSWP fixture (IP66) outputting 29,000 lux at 10 meters. The φ186mm front lens and 6°–50° zoom range give it flexibility across beam, spot, wash, and profile applications without swapping units.

The PAR LED PL1215 ZOOM runs 12×15W RGBW 4-in-1 TyanShine chips with a 7°–55° zoom range. IP66-rated for outdoor use.

Notes on the Event

A two-day outdoor festival with a diverse multi-artist lineup presented the typical challenges of outdoor production — weather exposure and consistent output across an extended run. All three fixture types are IP66-rated, which made them appropriate for the format without additional weatherproofing workarounds.
